I finally have a FO!

I seriously can't believe it. I finished something that was thought out, worked on and finished. And not just one thing, I have 2. I'm so super proud of myself. I'm not known for finishing stuff I start, with the exception of cleaning (that's a pet peeve of mine).
Let's see what has happened since I blogged last. Other than my manager being Satan herself and me hating my job and wishing I didn't like my co-workers as much as I do I could just walk out of the place. But I'll feel bad leaving them with my hours to carry on themselves. Yesterday was yet another day in the deli/bakery I was left alone my entire shift, and they didn't bother to call anyone in to work with me. Okay enough bitching, and on with the knits.
Flower power placemat

This pattern I found online from whimsical knitting the flower power hand towel or place mat. the picture I took turned out a lot brighter than it really is. Here it is all finished and *ahem* I cleaned my table for this photo opp.

Here is the meloncamper transformation!

Here are some other photos and stats of the scarf. It is the falling water scarf. I had all of my intentions to give this scarf to my sister but thinking as I was knitting and really thinking of all the time and work went into this scarf. So now, I have decided to keep the scarf.

Up close

Stats on scarf. Size 5 needle on my own hand spun. Not in the mood to blog right now my f*cking manager just called and wants me to go into work early cause Ash will be there ALONE! I yelled at her telling her I worked alone my entire shift yesterday! URGH! I get "oh" just see if you can come in OK? I hate work. I REALLY hate work.

Where can I find time?!?

I don't mean to whine but where can I find it to finish this scarf before my sister comes on Saturday? Plus on top of that clean my house (fly lady style) and go to work tonight. Maybe I should just make the sacrifice and quit my job. I wish. I did get pix of the beautiful scarf I'm going to have a VERY hard time giving it up. Can I ask for visitation?

The only complaint I have is my dying capabilities. It starts out really nice colors and slowly stripes as you see but starts to fade as I keep knitting more and more. That's the only thing that is bothering me. And the 3 mistakes I found, it took a lot for me to NOT rip it out.

I must start the cleaning. Have a great day!

Start your engines

Here's to a new start.
I'm currently working on a scarf out of some yarn I spun. When it's finished I hope to make it morph from what it started out to be to the finished knit it will become in the end. I think that would be cool, that is if I could figure out how to do that. We'll see.

I go into work later today, and I have yet to do much of anything. I get distracted too easily. I should be working on the scarf before my sister comes down, it's going to be a gift for her. That is if I can part with it. There is a lot of work involved in that scarf. It'll be sad to see it go but I hope it will put a smile on her face.

I have a few other projects in mind before winter comes. I'm not so much into big knits like sweaters, I still have one sitting in a knitting bag that has been thrown in a chest for about a year. I got bored with it. I really like knitting hats, dishcloths, ear warming headbands, mittens, and I want to tackle gloves if I can find a pattern I can take the time to understand. Also scarves are on my list of liking to knit. Those are what I call instant gratification knits. It feels so good to finish a project, and shitty when you throw it aside. Well for me it does.

Pretty good first post. I never know how to start these other than with an about me, but that's what the "about me" page is for huh? I'm off to get cleaning, showered, kids fed and off to work. I'm not looking forward to it, UGH!
